southeast nebraska | depending on where the farmland is, the property tax on land can be stupid high and there is zero limit to how much they raise it every year (and here, they do indeed raise it every single year)
don't pay any property tax on gold
(and well depending on situation gold is also portable, I can toss a million dollars in a backpack with gold and walk away, darn hard to go anywhere with property)
