| What doesn’t help that situation is that the farmers that grow the best looking crops tend to have the first chance at more land when their neighbours decide to rent
theirs out. Retired farmers tend to want the crops on their land to look at least as good as if not better than the crop across the fence. The farmer that supplies that appearance gets chosen. A similar thing happens with equipment. Most of the time appearance wins out over profitability when they aren’t paying the bills. | |
