If it wasn't for "modern agronomy" there would be zero small grains in wetter climates anymore because of fusarium head blight (head scab). I can guarantee you there's bins and granaries across north dakota that have scabby wheat and barley in them because nobody would take it. Fungicides are the primary defense against head scab. Id hate to raise wheat without it.


What about applying biology that benefits the plants and also attacks the headblight?
