Another day.. another NAT post advocating the passage of HR 1346.. nationwide E -15 with reforms.

Okay so we got through the reports.. more acres.. less stocks.. fits with my narrative.. that the fringe is searching for anything else to grow but poverty grass.

US domestic usage of ethanol has plateaued.

It’s frustrating to me.. that the refiners will pay MORE for RINs at over $2.?? Per gallon vs the actual ethanol.. cheaper.. higher octane.. what gives?

I agree with Kooiker that we need higher middle blends of ethanol E 15, 20 and 30.. I burn E 85 and a few others do.. but.. that’s not moving the needle.

EV adoption plus sky high gasoline costs from the Strait being closed.. has lead to near record margins for refiners.. as they shut access to ethanol out.

Limiting gasoline usage.. and hence blended ethanol.  We got the corn.. see reports yesterday.. we’ll still have a surplus.. even with ethanol running nearly full bore.

I did some price comparison yesterday on a parts run.. basically E-10 was running $3.399.. Jumpstart was offering E 30 for $3.099.. most consumers would note very little mileage drop off adding 20% more ethanol.. We need to offer that choice to more consumers.. which HR 1346 addresses.
