Subject: RE: Greek yogurt

Western Oregon
I use Greek yogurt for everything, even cooking, no sour cream, no cream cheese. I make ice cream with it, lately I have been stirring in fresh crushed raspberries. Otherwise, I usually use blueberries. I also use a lot of cottage cheese. Greek yogurt makes better ice cream than cottage cheese. Ice cream is a seldom eaten treat on a hot day, about 1/2 a cup. They are the protein I need first thing in the morning, before anything else, for my A1C levels, to stop the sugar spike. Eggs are the other thing I eat first thing. For me it is not the sugar spike, it is the sudden drop and staying low for prolonged period when the bottom falls out. I have been on this very strict diet since 19, 70 now. Started out having to rinse the cream from no fat cottage cheese, plastic cheese, margarine and no red meats. Almost killed me. Now it is recommended to use high fat dairy protein, real cheeses, grass fed lean beef and pastured butter....James
