Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | I tend to agree with Chris. Although I do realize that technology (computers, A.I., etc.) will be a part of everyone's life going forward. I use a computer every day and it has greatly increased efficiency in many ways, but I still occasionally sit down at my desk with a Bible, a pen, and a few sheets of loose leaf paper to write an article or lay out a sermon. We purchased our first home computer in 1995 when our son was entering second grade. Packard Bell 420 MB hard drive, 3 1/2 inch floppy drive, a CD ROM drive, 14.4 modem via copper telephone line. Sometimes I wish computers had never been invented. Other times I am thankful for what can be accomplished with them. I am enough of a Luddite to be concerned about where all this AI stuff is going. There is such a thing as a "slippery slope." |
