I'm dry for 260 bu corn
i'm not dry for 185 bu corn.
There is big difference in yield goals.
My area 190 is bad yr. Learn to know the difference.
I know genetics and ground are good, but still hard to raise major corn
if you only get 10" vs 15 or 20.
But some pockets have not got anything, with tassel and silking coming on those fields will need some rain.
My point is just because someone saysit's dry doesn't mean it's the sahara....
