southern MN | I really know nothing about it, but searching for it to learn more right now, I see several AI created reviews saying how good it is.
I find that - creepy.
I used to be a computer guy. Helped a lot of folk look for what they needed or wanted back when computer memory came in individual chips to instal, etc.
So I understand computer tech a little.
I do not trust consumer grade Ai enhanced devices any more. There is too much incentive to build in spyware that tracks and watches and listens and reports back way too much info.
Not all Ai is bad. A closed loop within a company to professionally digest info and find new trends, new process, compile data into something meaningful.
But, something like this - a company has too much incentive to try to pull a few cents worth of weekly data collection from every devicethey sell. What’s the harm in that…. *
But I remember in 11th grade reading the book “1984.”
Then if you don’t like tin foil hat ideas:
Kids should have friend on the playground and live pets to interact with. Not Ai fed robots. That. Is. Creepy. If you don’t see that instinctively, I don’t know how to explain it.
