The OP asked a very popular question about EVT vs IVT. I was disappointed that most replies shifted to "proper operation of IVT". So, no real follow-up for your EVT vs IVT. I too would like to know how EVT is making a difference in the "auto" mode operation.
Will the EVT "hunt" like an IVT when the load is just wrong?
Do other IVT users ever see the gear/range hunting problem?
Does the EVT make smoother changes between ranges vs IVT?These are some of the questions we have re. newer EVT vs IVT.

Let's start at the beginning AGCO was 1st with the CVT, JD came after, but of course they had to be different and had to call it IVT, it was not as good, but has improved over time!
Now there are also eCVT & eIVT (JD) the only manufacturer of eCVT for agricultural tractors is ZF with their eTerramatic all other are still CVT.
So it's hard to make a comparison for unless one compares a CLAAS Tractor to a JD we are not comparing apples to apples.
I think the best way is to check repair records if available and dealer location.
