I just wish they would build a 3/4 ton like the old ones with tailgate NOT 4' off the ground. A half ton will do nearly what a 1996 F250/Chevy 2500 will do. So something like the old Chevy 1500HD from 20 years ago. Something between a 5.3 and a 6.6 size.
If that is what you want then just put a flatbed on the pickup. Nice and low work height and you can work from all three sides. My flatbed was built in 1990 and been on Chevys and Fords. When they leave the virtually new box goes back on and makes it very attractive to the next owner. |
