| I am not complaining and I am confident I already know the answer, however I was curious on other perspectives from forum utilizers. We have a pasture that is is dire need of having a fence replaced. The adjoining landowner is an abscentee and rents to another operator. I contacted the landowner by phone and they claimed they could not afford to cost share the fence. They also are not interested in selling to me at this time. The tenants are stretched thin and don't have the resources to assist. A hotwire has been keeping our critters in and theirs mostly out. This is not ideal. The triple whammy is if I cover the replacement fence I am increasing thier land value when/if it was marketed. To rebuild on the current line runs the risk of a future survey that may or may not show the accuracy of bordering ownership. I gives me great challenge to pay for a survey, fence and increase their their land value. We anyone like to share their approach to a similar scenario? | |
