95 miles NW of Quitaque, TX | When this happened years ago McAfee had to put something out to take out the rest of McAfee. It worked. I have installed several programs that McAfee came along. I always went to the website to finish the problem. I just did that a year or so ago.
I think McAfee does this for the gripers so that they can say go get this program and it will solve your problem. McAfee does not want to build it into the program because most people leave that little built of code to download McAfee after the uninstall.
