There were issues with the Kubota engines in the newer Takeuchi skid steers just a couple of years ago. I assume same issues in Kubota skid steers. My business partner in Florida bought a near new Takeuchi at an auction. Stopped to do a little job on the way home and engine developed (or already had) an engine knock. It had like 400 hrs on machine. Not sure if any warranty but he did not claim any. He ended up trading it in on a new JD.

Easy to Google these ell known issues. Not sure if those issues still around. We still have a Takeuchi with the Izuzu engine and that machine never has had any engine issues or any other issues. Very tough and well built.
