You can't just buy biology for your farm. The best thing you can do is create an environment where soil biology can thrive. It sounds like you are already heading down the correct path.
Except you can just buy biology for your farm. You have to learn how to do it. Just adding manure, compost and cover crops won't do it 100%. Mycorrhiza for instance, isn't found in manure or compost and in my case was farmed out of the soil. It doesn't just naturally come back when you switch to better methods. Yes your soil can look healthier and you can have more eathworms but doesn't necessarily mean your soil is balanced. I have seen it multiple times on a soil dna test. According to my tests on my farms, what i am doing is increasing those numbers. Adding the biology to the soil helps you build it way faster and more efficiently. Composting takes a lot of time to do and manure is hard to get if you don't have your own source and can be expensive as well. I do things differently than others because I have seen the tests and know how to make the levels increase and see disease and pest numbers on those test decrease as well. It is more of a process than just putting a product out there. |
