Subject: RE: Liberty Damage To Corn Over 24"

SE North Dakota
I sprayed a rescue mission for some waterhemp one year on some liberty corn that was waist high and it banged it up pretty bad. Was a 40bu hit at harvest time. Good thing I just spot sprayed and didn’t do the whole field. It never really got any taller than the day I sprayed it. Lots of smut at harvest time also in those spots. I won’t do that again. Have to remember that Liberty Link corn isn’t resistant to Liberty it’s tolerant to it. The older it gets the less tolerant it is. I found out the hard way.
