Western Oregon
I cut raked and baled with a 454 IHC gas tractor for years, I had a umbrella on the tractor. Very hot straddling the transmission. I moved the muffler vertical from it's original position under the left foot, that helped a lot, it would melt the sole on my sneaker before that. Later used a 544 hydro diesel, much better but the hydro generated a lot of heat. It does get hot here, especially when baling straw in August. Baled a lot of grass seed straw for export. I bought my first cab tractor in 1972, a 4230, I wanted a 4030 but they did not make them in a powershift, I really liked the powershift in the 1970 3020 that I traded the 4230 for....James
