NW Iowa | I never figured out why guys wanted to pick them off the ground.
Everyone had flat racks.
Grandpa only had 2 or 3 racks usually 20 acres for the dairy.
I was always in the barn. Starting 7th grade I think i baled for about everybody.
I liked baling straw
Growing up Terry Dorr had 14 flat racks if i remember right.
Pile them on 7 high
Every summer from 1990 to 1995. 8th grade- senior yr.
We would unload them in the morning and load in the afternoon.
I"m guessing 50,000-60,000 bales, and he liked his clover....
Filled 5 barns and 2 cattle sheds with the elevator and stacked them inside
