Valuable lesson learned. As soon as you rent a new farm and FSA puts you on it ask for the map that denotes whether there is a wetland and if there isn’t any determinations for wetland or highly erodible request one. It’s all or nothing with the FSA. Might not be right but your county office has no say and can also get in big trouble letting things slide. The wetland mitigation part may be why the woods was a wetland in the first place. We have farms that prior owners did that so they could farm all the tillable ground
