Very southern Mn
It always takes a series of events that make or break a crop. New hybrids are amazing. Crops are resilient than we think. Crops are always better than expected because as farmers part of our mental defense mechanism to prepare for a bad crop especially when we see less than good crop coming. That said the USDA prints a pretty big number. If enough events keep chewing a little here and there it will certainly take yield off but crop is not made or lost in a week. I was surprised heat forecast last week didn’t get some traction on Friday. Raining here this morning but thankful for it as crop is really starting to use it and heat on the way. Fast growing tall corn is also a concern as wind is always the wild card here.
