Good question,
The little hose on the top is a breather.
On the 30 series it was just an air permeable plug.
Apparently, on the 40 series, they put a hose on it.
Do you have the control in the cab, set for load control or for depth control?
WAG it needs set for depth,
WAG it is currently set for load.
