Im pretty sure that you can retrofit that mower with a Honda but your question is valid. Everytime I've done something like that i wished I hadn't when done. Kinda like dumping 75,000 into my combine (which i did), when the machine is worth 50,000. Guess id cut my losses and go shopping. Kinda curious what happened. What you have there isn't exactly junk. Pretty expensive unit.
