| Back in early to mid 80s, neighbor mowed hay then went on vacation leaving his 60 plus farmhand to bale the hay. was hot and drying fast so Dad and myself along with another father/son team ran 2 balers and tied it up and put it in the barn. temp was 105 one day and 106 the next. I literally rung water out of my shirt both days and I think I got paid $40.
Only time in my life I got to drive the baler tractor was 1985 when I dislocated my shoulder and couldn't use it, so I drove the tractor.
I haven't baled hay since 1995 and don't miss it one bit.
