Oregon | Build your own. The log home boys in Wyoming (the real builders, not the kit home crews), make timber horses by starting with a 2x6 I beam as the top. Then run legs at 7-degrees off square (as I recall, I'll have to check) with the top of each leg hitting under the top cross of the I-beam and then face nailed into the lower I-beam. Then take some 1x scrap and run leg-to-leg lengthwise which stiffens the legs and acts as a saw hanger. | |
