So, was there certain years of the 9770, that Deere corrected the liner issues, in the 9.0? Did the 9670, have any of the liner issues, as well?

Buy an '09 or newer, and the liner issues were pretty much non existent. At least that was my understanding when we looked at 70 series.

A 9670 has the same 9.0L engine as a 9770, just a little less hp.
Same issues with liner height.

Edited to add.

I mentioned weak shaker frames in the 60 series as a drawback. If the shaker frame has been replaced recently, or if you were to replace it yourself, the new parts are upgraded to 70 series quality if I understand correctly.
