Pumping it dry might help the well by opening the veins of water. It might also cave it in
Depending on recovery it might be good as it is. There is 24 gallon in every foot of casing so you have about 190 gallon before it is dry. Screen on pump doesn’t need cleaned if you can pump it dry.
When it is pumped down drop your string every fifteen minutes to measure recovery. From then on I would pump 10 minutes a time. Measure recovery from there. Or don’t open valve all the way. Set it at five gallon per minute and see what it does. Hydrants use a lot of water more than a house would use normally
