Subject: RE: Shallow well question

central - east central Minnesota -

71307140 - 6/27/2026 19:53 That was my question- if I keep pumping it dry will it help the inflow of water .

Don't know about that diameter size well - but here, yes, it common to back blow the screen on the well caseing. But, we are talking 4 - 18 inch well casing with 10-30ft of screen on them. Or, treat the well with acid then blow the screen out, the chlorinate the heck out of it and then pump it for a few hours. I don't think just pumping it dry, then leting it recover will help with out first trying to blow the silt/iron/mineral out of the screen ?  But, I don't know your well caseing / screen type ?  ? ?
