I have a couple wells hand dug on my place so prob 42” wells and roughly 30’ deep. Yes we use the larger wells for capacity since the inflow is not great. As far as water table it varies quite a bit. I would lower the pump down to 5’ above the bottom and see what happens. You may find a better vain. Keep pumping it and you could help your inflows to a degree but would not expect much. There are a lot of properties in this area that have no well or very poor performing wells. Lots of pickups with tanks in the back to supplement their water.
