Whole purpose of the small cone is to allow me to measure small volumes
(less than 10 gallons
) of products quickly and easily. The small cone uses vacuum from the venturi to suck products into it. I can use the graduations on the cone to meter how much product I need.
(For example, say I need 3 gallons of LI700
) I then switch some valves and suck the product out of the bottom of the cone and rinse it out.
I have two suction hoses with a valve on each coming out of the top of the cone, one for LI700 and one for crop oil
(those are the two adjuvants I use the most and I get them in either 30 gallon drums or totes
). I have a vacuum line coming from the venturi with a 3 way valve on it going into the top of the cone. If I turn the valve one way it supplies vacuum to the cone, if I turn it the other way it allows outside air into the cone so I can suck the product out the bottom when I'm done. I also have a valve for rinse water with a rise nozzle inside the cone.
Here is a video of the JD Skiles system, my setup functions exactly the same.
