Subject: RE: Powering a grain facility upgrade

North Liberty and South Bend, Indiana
For the foreseeable future gas substation will be at max capacity with the dryer itself, nothing left to run a genset. My brother in law happens to be the distribution engineer and has been pushing to get the substation upgraded but not happened in a decade and looks like no real plans to upgrade it. So a NG Genet is not possible and I will not attempt an LP unit. Had LP and paid big money to go NG for good reason. Diesel is probably way to cost prohibitive. So creating 3ph via converter or VFD is my options. Question is do I create whole system 3ph for motors and use a VFD to drive them or do I use a 1ph to 3ph VFD for each motor and create 3ph via converter for the dryer?
