Subject: Pvc vs. Hdpe waterlines for pasture pipeline

West Central Illinois
On my eqip project the plan says I can choose either as long as pipe meets their spec. Just need 1 1/4" minimum on the 4300 ft. Im thinking of going at least 1 1/2" as I will probably tag onto it in other places in the future. We're doing 48" depth to be safe even though requirements are only for 36" here. Ground is all clay hills no rocks anywhere and have just 1 creek crossing to bore under. This is all from a 145' well also. Except for 1 drink where waterline will go down 200' of elevation cross creek then back up maybe 100' of elevation the rest of the waterline stays on the hilltop so most of it is very easy going.

My gut feeling tells me to go with the 200 psi hdpe as I'm familiar with that stuff. Plan was to get a coil and have no joints between drinks with the hdpe which I like the idea of. The pvc makes me a little uneasy that would have a joint every 20'. I haven't priced everything yet but was told usually can get 2" pvc for same price as 1 1/2" hdpe. Am I being overly cautious of the pvc?
