South Central Kansas | We have had over 11 inches since Saturday night-Sunday morning. Five inches early Sunday, came hard and fast, then several 2-3 tenths, then and inch on Monday-Tuesday. Then starting last night, we had 3.9- 4.1 inches but it took all night. Almost all of that ran off.
Add: We had three one inch rains on Thursday June 18 to soak things up pretty good.
Wichita has been hammered as well as the Pratt area, Ness City area and others. Roads flooded and several washed out in rural areas.
I am right on the Cowley-Sumner line in northwest Cowley County. If you find Oxford, I am straight north of there about 6 miles.
These rains should eventually bring the lower Mississippi up a bit.
Done with wheat harvest for me, all first crop crops planted. No DC beans or any ground sprayed yet. Gonna be a while.
Wheat was better than expcted, we have some good certified seed in the bin as well.
