Central ND | Look for the front cover of the engine to be leaking. QSX and ISX are known for that. Did ours around 7000hrs and bottom engine beings as well since we were already that far. But overall they still looked well. Have around 8000hrs and it's still our main air seeder tractor.
Been a great tractor for all the years we've owned it. Have replaced some hydraulic lines that have rubbed through in certain holders. Bogie wheel bearings here and there as well as a big idler heading as well... Quadtrac version obviously.
No big major problems that I can think of. I'd own another well taken care of one. Just a great running tractor.
I'd have to search it, but there was an engine serial break in there with something about 2 piece pistons or something on the early ones. Cant remember exactly or what models were affected.
