West Central Indiana | We've had planes and helicopters fly but I only consistently started seeing yield increases in corn at least when I started ground applying with a ground rig. Beck's research shows (with ground rig) 20 gal/acre to be the best but 15gal is just barley under it. It drops a lot below 15gal. 15 gallon is what I spray corn and beans in fungicide and have saw no difference from when I tried 20gal. Spraying early morning like 8am has the best return because you get a lot of free water on the leaves and the plant uptake is higher before it dries off and air temp goes up. Fungicide will only move up in the plant, so canopy penetration is very important. | |
