I’ve only seen a drone operate once but it basically ran itself and that was applying cover crops. I would assume there’s calibrations to do, but how would you check and calibrate liquid coverage?


Just like an airplane does. You need to check pattern, rate etc. Pattern can vary widely depending on height. This all needs to be taken into consideration when setting up a drone. A good operator will have it dialed in before the season starts. Drone can do an excellent job if there's a competent person running it.
