I can’t say it has been epically wet here the whole time, but it has been just wet enough to keep people out of the fields even with sprayers.  Planting dates were March, April 15 for a few days, April 27 or so for a couple days, mid May for a couple days on some of the drier fields but most wet already planted by then, then May 25-June 5 or so.  Corn varies in unevenness, and low spots are drowned out.  Of course there have been a couple events that you could canoe across the township, but that happens sometimes.

That said, a week of 90+ degree weather in this humid greenhouse weather is going to make things look wildly different come 4th of July.  That will of course hide some damage but it won’t look nearly as bad.  Not sure how we are going to kill all the weeds and what an environment for disease pressure but in 10 days it will look better around here.

That said, I am going to row in my wet spots of corn up until July 4 and let it go after that.
