The studies that show low carb doesn't work are nearly always NOT low carb.


How Studies Define Low-Carb Diets

Very Low-Carbohydrate / Ketogenic: Less than 10% of daily calories (or 20-50 g/day). Forces the body to burn fat for fuel instead of glucose.

Low-Carbohydrate: Less than 26% of daily calories (or <130 g/day).

Moderate-to-Liberal Low-Carb: 26%-44% of daily calories (up to ~ 180 g/day)
