Agree with everything you said there deere6, most important thing is not having skips with little or no liquid hitting the intended target ( the earth ) in strips , I keep preaching it that any good aerial application is gonna have streaks that end up very visible from about a 1000 feet in the air because of way spray wash behind plane or drone either land on the ground there has to be an area of doubled liquid , if there’s not an area of doubled liquid , as that area of spray swirl moves through the field , your going to get skips ,skips are bad , skips are real bad if your doing herbicides, if you have skips with herbicides the farmer will get very angry. If you have your wash making streaks because of its overlap , in a week or so pictures from 1000 feet up are gonna show a streak and the drone haters are gonna plaster them all over Facebook but we could care less because we know and they don’t and the farmers all know they can go look and they don’t have skips with green weeds that didn’t receive any herbicide. Only way to avoid skips and not have a little doubled area on each pass is use a ground rig . Aerial applications ? we’re just not smart enough to know how around our place but to have it like I just described. You’d be surprised how many easily understand it and how many don’t . Thank goodness the ones that matter understand ( the customers and our own farm )
