Southern Missouri | Several ways but a good one is light a cigar and take a big puff , if the smoke just kinda drifts slowly away ,it’s 22 , if it moves away about as fast as you could reach out a grab it , it’s 18 and lower down a little, theres also other adjustments to play with , droplet size etc , if it disappears about as fast as you blow it out the pie hole , you land the drone and go back to the shop for a while . Or you could use a reliable wind meter , 0 to 5 you good , 5 to 9 narrow up , 9 and anything above ,depends on if your needing fungicide out real bad ( doesn’t say that on most wind meters ) if your spraying herbicide and it says 9 or above you should seriously consider landing and staying there. It’s a whole lot like lots of other farming decisions and you know how those are Todd , no use going into all that I’m too old and probably have to stop and take a nap trying to explain that . | |
