Ditch chicken.
Some city dwellers bought a patch of bottom ground nearby. They would turn loose some inside raised ditch chickens that seemed to lack survival instinct, and then shoot them. I ate one of those pheasants once and it was okay, watched it bounce off the hood of a Ford Taurus first.
