When the borrower gives FCS an assignment of any potential crop insurance payouts (as we are required to do), FCS is essentially insured, and they don't have to pay the premium.
Yes, I am very aware of that.
Gov money buys a lot of the insurance, banks get the coverage, farmers get the blame.
