I had mine done 2 years ago. All my monitors were already ag leader, so had suredrives installed. I eliminated my chain drive insecticide, but can use my liquid starter system.

Pros: cut way down on maintenance by eliminating sprockets, chains, bearings, transmission. We had 1 row control module that didn’t work before the season. Monitor self test caught it right away. I plant slightly faster than I did with chain drive. Im satisfied.

Cons: tractor hydraulic requirement for alternator. I was borderline pump capacity on my jd 8310 with standard pump and also needed a 4th scv. Ended up getting an 8330. Dealer was insistent that we use hyd alternator but I’d think the pto would have been fine. 16 row. Not inexpensive, but a positive upgrade..
