NC South Dakota
I ran it about 2 years before I switched from fingers to vsets. Put a PP fan on it when I did it.
Fingers work just fine if they stay in their RPM range.
I ran into trouble with variable rate dropping down to 12k on the sand hills.
At low meter RPM the kernel would bounce back out of the windows and fall back in the meter.
Brush meters worked great.
Only other thing was changing meters takes longer with suredrive.
However John deere Vac meters and suredrive really play well together. Crop changes are very very fast. Much faster than vdrive and vsets(i really hate that damn cotter pin that holds the seed plate in). Damn thing always fuses to the shaft.
