I say we need to have gov restart the incentives that car maker had to make vehicles that could burn e85. The gov took that away a few years back and that’s why the big automakers aren’t making engines to run on e85. And don’t tell me about the mileage difference. I have a 2021 f150 with 5.0 engine gets 14.8 mpg with e85 at $1.38 fuel. I had my pickup in shop so dealer gave me a loaner with a 3.5 engine in it with 16.8 mpg. Could only burn e15 fuel price $3.50 fuel. Time we use our own products and forget Iran. AND MAKE VEHICLES THAT CAN BURN E85.
We don't use any oil from Iran and very little from the middle east anymore.
Maverick in NW ND, the only reliable carrier of E85 I know of:
E85: 3.29
E10/87: 3.79
Must be nice in flat Nebraska to have cheap fuel. |
