SE Michigan | Had a 2" one for many yrs and was starting to wear out (hole in the draw bar). At that time I got a new truck with a 2 1/2 receiver so I opted for a new Schuck hitch. Was kinda disappointed when I got it. the receiver was just a hollow 2 1/2 square tube., the old 2" was solid. I found a cheap solid 2 x 2 receiver hitch with a clevis end on Amazon for around $25, slid it into the end of the Schuck and welded it (the pin hole lined up perfect). Not sure if it would have failed, just like the though of the surface contacting the pin being 2 1/2" wide rather then only 2 points of contact.
Made it a bit heavier to take on and off, but it seldom leaves the truck anyway.
