SE IL | In previous conflicts I agree, but in this one it’s more that we aren’t willing to endure the economic pain. We were shutting off their main source of income with the blockade, but it affects world oil prices. There is no need to “take” Karg isand as some suggest, it’s fed by a large pipeline we could easily cut off. As their income dried up eventually it would cause massive upheaval in the country. They bet, and won the assumption they would out last us. Personally I’m not sure it had much to do with nukes, that’s just the easy sell to the American people. No one on this board knows the intel or true reason all of this was started. We are waaay off in the weeds here though….. | |
