East of Broken Bow | This is just me, but if I were on a tight budget, I'd rather get a china gas dirt bike than e-bike. I think they start around $1600-$1800 for a 250CC bike with electric start, lights, and turn signals. Knew a guy who bought a $1500 e-bike and it was a huge disappointment for him - ran about like a 110 or 125 cc dirt bike, and ran out of charge fast. Add to it the fire hazards of no-name e-bikes, and I'm not sure I'd want one (maybe it is media hype and not that big a deal, but the fire hazard concerns me). At least with a gas powered one, even if it was slow and underpowered, I know I'd have the range. | |
