| Use a lube actually made for tires instead of dish soap. Well worth it especially if you do all your own tire work. You'd be surprised at how much more slippery it is compared to dish soap.
Also be careful how much air you put in while seating beads. Generally it recommended to not exceed 35 psi while seating beads on any tire, regardless of what the operating psi is. Too much chance of tire/rim exploding if you go over. When I was at the tire shop, as long as the rim was clean we never had to exceed 35 to get a bead to seat. If it didn't seat at 35, we deflated it and re-lubed it. Sometimes a few thumps with a hammer by the area not seated would help too. | |
