Paxton, IL
The Schuck hitches are nice to add a little bit of cushion, but they’re far from a real DMI style hitch if you want the extension and swivel functions.

For pulling NH3 tanks, I would recommend the real spring hitch.

If you look at the swivel and extension style schuck hitch, you’ll notice you can only swivel sideways if you also extend the hitch out. Plus you have a more limited range of extension compared to a DMI. If you take it off and store it inside, you might get along alright, but I’ve always had a lot of trouble with the schuck style hanging up on me and not working freely.

I bought my schuck when they were a lot less expensive years ago and I thought it was worth it vs the DMI bumper at that time. Not sure I’d say the savings are worth it today if you plan to do a lot of hooking and unhooking.
