| Maybe popcan high. Beans always suck here early season. Last year it took until late July to close rows. Looks to be on the same schedule this year. Beans are so wimpy for weed control with most of the ground bare dirt until august. We need to grow a new crop up here and let the corn belt and brazil grow the beans. We can grow really good corn now in ND but it seems like the beans haven't advanced much in yield in the last 20 years. We kind of expect 40 bushel average now, used to be maybe 35 bushel 20 years ago. Very rare to get 50 averages across the farm. But I guess we make up for it in acres as ND is no slouch in total planted bean acres. | |
