We used to have a flex fuel SUV. It would use about 15% more fuel burning e-85 than when using e-10. As an aside, it would get the same mileage with e-30 as it would with e-10, but that can be a discussion for another day.
Anyway, you could brun 100 gallons of e-10 at $3.89 (Friday's price when I filled up), which would cost you $389.
Or, you could drive the same distance using 120 gallons of e-85, at $159 (Friday's price locally) for a cost of just under $190
You can order new vehicles that are flex fuel, but very few come that way, and people like me who have to buy used, just can't find them.
